Dear Job Seeker,

Can you answer the following interview questions right now?

– Why do you want to become a medical assistant?

– This job can be repetitive. What would motivate you to do it well every day?

– Give an example of a time you made a point to go above and beyond with customer service.

– If a patient accused you of a bad service, what would you do?

– What did you like the most/ dislike the most about your last job?

How would your former colleagues describe you?

– What are your weaknesses?

– Why should we hire you for this position?

It is not easy, is it? And you will have to answer many other tough questions in your interview, and convince the interviewers to hire you, and not one of the other job applicants.

It is difficult, but it can be easy. It can be easy with my eBook, the Medical Assistant Interview Guide. See the sample from the book below:

Sample from the eBook

Q.5: This job can be repetitive. What would motivate you to do it well every day?

Hint: Daily job of a medical assistant is repetitive. You should focus on your preference to routine jobs. Not everyone needs new challenges in work every day. A good feeling from a well-done job can resonate in your answer.

Alternatively, you can say that from your point of view, none job is repetitive, if one has the right attitude in work.

Sample answers:

– To be honest, I prefer routine jobs. Once I learn to do things, I do my job well and have good feeling from doing it.

 – Everything depends on the relationships. If I enjoy time spent with my colleagues, if I feel like a member of a hard-working team, it makes me happy and motivated to work hard all days. Whether the job is repetitive is irrelevant for me.

 – From my point of view, this job is not repetitive. I know that medical assistants carry out similar tasks day after day. But there are problems you need to solve and new patients you meet every day. Many different things can happen in a medical practice. From my point of view, this job is fun to do, not a repetitive one. At least that’s how I feel about the job.

Q.7: Give an example of a time you made a point to go above and beyond with customer service.

Hint: Great medical assistants always try to exceed the expectations of both their employer and the patients (the customer in this case). If you have no previous working experience, you should say what you would do to go above and beyond with your service.

Your tone of voice is important when answering the question. Speak with love and enthusiasm, so the interviewers get the feeling that you enjoy going above and beyond, and do not do it just because it is expected from you.

Sample answers

– I always do my best for every customer. I would not be satisfied with myself if I did not try. For example in my last job in retail, I often called a friend, expert in electronics, seeking and advice when customers asked me a tough question about a computer they considered purchasing. The customers really appreciated my extra effort, and I felt great.

– I have always tried to exceed the expectations of patients. That’s the most we can do, trying to bring them back to our clinic, should they need help again. Many times they will recommend us to other people, but only if they are satisfied with the service. It is also important for me to feel personal satisfaction in job. It would be difficult to feel it if I didn’t try my best.

– I have never gone above and beyond with customer service, as this is my first job application. However, I understand the importance of patients’ satisfaction and I will always look for opportunities to deliver exceptional customer service.

I am not very talkative, but your interview strategies helped me to understand that one does not have to talk a lot to get a job. We just need to use the right words and show right attitude. I learned how to do it from your interview guide, and I got a job of a medical assistant. Life is much better now!

My friends told me that my communication skills were bad and I would fail in an interview becasue of that. But I did not get discouraged. I bought your eBook and practiced my interview answers with a friend. I felt confident ever since, and I eventually got a full time position of a medical assistant at a private clinic. Thank you for helping me out Anita!

The schools have failed

Dear job seeker,

Let me tell you something:

While studying we are forced to learn many things we’ll never use in our lives (or in our jobs).

When it comes to the real exams the life throws at us, however, such as getting a job, we quickly understand that schools have not prepared us for passing them with flying colors.

I have interviewed more than four hundred candidates for various healthcare positions, and I have seen many people fail. But …

  • They failed, not because they lacked qualification or certification.
  • They failed, not because they were stupid.

They failed simply because they had no idea about how to sell their skills in an interview, and what the interviewers wanted to hear from them.

How could they succeed? They were graduates, employees, young people … in all good means. But they were not good in the art of acing a job interview. Nobody told them what to do, what really matters in an interview, what questions they can expect, and what answers they should give. They failed.

Your story can be different, however. You can succeed, and I will help you to succeed. I am offering you a helping hand, and all you have to do is take it. Will you?
